Flight Safety Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:FLT) has received a new $9,815,410 contract from the U.S. Department of Transportation/Volpe Center with an award date of September 15, 2005. This contract is for continued work on its SOCRATES(R) wake vortex sensor technology. Flight Safety Technologies, Inc. receives incremental funding on its government contracts when task orders are issued. The first task order on its new contract is dated September 15, 2005, for $1,695,029. This task order is currently planned to fund data analysis from the SOCRATES(R) system currently being tested at Denver International Airport and follow-on system trade-off studies of its SOCRATES(R) sensor technology through approximately March 31, 2006.
