American Stock Exchange Lists Five New PowerShares ETFs

NEW YORK, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R)
(Amex(R)) today announced that it has launched trading in five new
exchange traded funds (ETFs) by PowerShares Capital Management LLC.
These new PowerShares ETFs bring the total number of ETF listings
on the Amex to 350. "We are pleased to partner once again with
PowerShares as they continue to grow their diverse range of ETF

Insured National Municipal Bond Portfolio (AMEX:PZA) aims to track
the Merrill Lynch Insured National Long-Term Core Municipal
Securities Index which is designed to follow the performance of
U.S. dollar-denominated investment grade insured tax-exempt debt
publicly issued by U.S. States, or their political subdivisions,
included in the U.S. domestic market. PowerShares Insured New York
Municipal Bond Portfolio (AMEX:PZT) aims to track the Merrill Lynch
New York Insured Long-Term Core Municipal Securities Index which is
designed to follow the performance of U.S. dollar-denominated
investment grade tax-exempt debt publicly issued by New York or
Puerto Rico, or their political subdivisions, included in the U.S.
domestic market. PowerShares Insured California Municipal Bond
Portfolio (AMEX:PWZ) aims to track the Merrill Lynch California
Insured Long-Term Core Municipal Securities Index which is designed
to follow the performance of U.S. dollar- denominated investment
grade tax-exempt debt publicly issued by California or Puerto Rico,
or their political subdivisions, in the U.S. domestic market.
PowerShares Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt Portfolio (AMEX:PCY)
aims to track the DB Emerging Market USD Liquid Balanced Index
which is designed to follow the performance of a selected basket of
liquid emerging markets U.S. dollar-denominated government bonds.
PowerShares 1-30 Laddered Treasury Portfolio (AMEX:PLW) aims to
track the Ryan/Mergent 1-30 Year Treasury Laddered Index which is
an equally weighted index that follows the performance of a
selected basket of U.S. Treasury- auctioned issues with fixed
coupon rates which track the performance of the U.S. Treasury yield
curve based on 30 distinct annual maturities. "We are pleased to
