PLE Pinnacle Bancshares,

Pinnacles Bancshares, Inc. (AMEX: PLE) announced results of its Annual Meeting of Stockholders, in Jasper, Alabama. Stockholders re-elected O.H. Brown, Sam W. Murphy and Al H. Simmons to new three-year terms on the Board of Directors. In addition, stockholders ratified the appointment of KPMG LLP as independent auditors for the current fiscal year. Subsequent to the Annual Meeting, James W. Cannon was elected Chairman of the Board. Mr. Cannon, a Jasper native, has been a member of the Board since 1990. Pinnacle Bancshares' wholly owned subsidiary, Pinnacle Bank, is headquartered in Jasper and has six offices in central and northwest Alabama.
