Social media technology company Quepasa Corporation (NYSE Amex: QPSA), owner of popular Latino online social network Quepasa.com and myYearbook, the best place to meet new people on the web or mobile device, today announced the appointment of mobile industry veteran Fred Beckley as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Business Affairs. Beckley brings extensive experience spearheading mergers and acquisitions activities for both domestic and international companies, and developing the business and legal framework for affiliated enterprises.

Most recently, Beckley served as Executive Vice President, Business Development & General Counsel for TruePosition, Inc., a wireless location company owned by Liberty Media Corporation, where he served as head of the Business Development, Legal, Regulatory, and Technical Standards departments. While at TruePosition, he negotiated and drafted the business and legal framework for the first national deployment of the company's new technology and led the company's successful intellectual property litigation and licensing efforts.

Prior to TruePosition, Beckley held leadership positions at Verizon Wireless where he served as Senior Counsel for Business Development and at the former Bell Atlantic Corporation in the Mergers and Acquisitions department and as General Counsel for several Bell Atlantic companies. Beckley's expertise will enable him to help drive the future ventures of the company as a leader in meeting new people.

Mr. Beckley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he served as Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal, and received his M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School.
