Contract Awards
Atlantic Global, ("Atlantic" or "the Company") the fast growing AIM listed
specialist developer of business and resource management software applications
to a broad range of customers, announces that it has today been awarded two new
contracts worth in excess of #200,000 in revenue in the current financial year.
The first contract, awarded by Norwich Union Central Services, part of UK's
largest insurer, is for the supply of an initial 1,250 user licenses to a
further division of Norwich Union. The second contract has been awarded by
Friends Provident, the major UK insurance company and a new client to the
Company, which has contracted to purchase an initial 1,000 licences. These
contracts are for core Adeo Business Products and result in the number of
supported Adeo seats now totaling over 23,000.
Commenting on the new contract awards, Eugene Blaine, Managing Director of
Atlantic Global, said:
"These new contracts further consolidate our position as one of the UK's fastest
growing software suppliers to the financial services sector. We are delighted to
be awarded the Norwich Union Central Services contract, which represents further
significant expansion within one of our largest existing customers whilst the
Friends Provident contract adds a new prestigious name to our client list. We
are looking forward to delivering significant benefits to both organisations."
Other blue-chip customers in this sector include Barclays Bank, HSBC, Allied
Irish Bank and Cattles Plc.
Appointment of Director
The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Howard Allcock
(43) to the Board in an Executive capacity as Sales and Marketing Director with
immediate effect.
Mr. Allcock joined the Company in February 2003 as Sales and Marketing Director
Designate. Since that date Atlantic Global has benefited significantly from his
experience and expertise which has been applied to a number of business areas
within the Company. This has included the refocusing of Atlantic's sales and
marketing function with clearer messaging attached to new products resulting in
record interest being shown in the Company's software products.
Prior to joining Atlantic Global, he held senior appointments within Admiral
Computing Ltd (Operations Director), before its merger with CMG Plc, where he
managed business units with up to 600 staff, and sales of up to #20 million per
annum, before itself merging with Logica Plc.
Mr. Allcock has no further disclosures to make under Schedule Two (f) (iii-viii).
Commenting, Eugene Blaine, Managing Director, said: "I believe Mark's appointment
as a main board director adds greatly to the Company's potential. Whilst working
at CMG Plc, Mark relied on the fundamental business disciplines that are supported
by the Adeo product range. His business expertise and experience will benefit
Atlantic and our customer base. We are delighted to welcome him to the Board."
