PR Newswire (US)
HUNTSVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Miller
Petroleum, Inc. (OTC:MILL) (BULLETIN BOARD: MILL) has begun
operations of drilling on the Edwards / Fowler Unit #1 in Roane
County, Tennessee, to a depth of approximately 5,300 feet. The well
will penetrate the Trenton / Stonesriver as well as the Knox
formation. Drilling will be in partnership with a major independent
in the Appalachian Basin. Miller will have a 25% working interest
and a 3% over riding royalty interest and also serve as operator.
The Edwards / Fowler Unit #1 is 9,200 feet from the Eula Butler
Etal #1 and situated on the same anticline that has been confirmed
by several seismic lines. "This well is located in the same
geological setting as the Butler, and I expect results very
similar. We could possibly have a stronger producer with the
development of zones that were insignificant in the Butler," noted
Dr. Gary Bible, VP of Miller's geology department. Natural gas will
be sold to the Powell - Clinch Utility, whose pipeline is within
1,000 feet of the well. "With the promising results of the Butler
well, I am looking forward to the results of this well, which will
confirm our efforts to fully develop the Eureka Structure,"
indicated Deloy Miller, CEO of Miller Petroleum. Miller Petroleum,
Inc. is a publicly traded, fully integrated, gas and oil
exploration and production company with headquarters in Huntsville,
Tennessee. The company is rapidly increasing natural gas reserves
in the Appalachian Basin. Forward-looking statements made in this
