The mild reversal of the this week
seems to be holding steady, as Bitcoin, Ethereum and many altcoins
are showing positive percent growth or consolidation in the past 24
hours. Two of the of the top 100 coins are up around 10%. Bitcoin
is nearing $7,500 for -1.5% and Ethereum is nearing $575 for no
change in percent.

Dallas Mavericks Partner
with Blockchain Fitness App Lympo
Lympo is a fitness tracking app
built to motivate people to exercise that adds that gives users
rewards through their cryptocurrency. In a three year deal, the
Mavericks will add Lympo to their branding, develop a deeper
fitness culture with technology and begin experimenting with
cryptocurrencies for rewards, merchandise and ticket sales. There
will be a Lympo patch on their practice jerseys and later this
year, the Mavericks and Lympo will unveil the rebranded Lympo
Training Facility and the Lympo Training Court, along with
redesigned jerseys. They will work together to form a group of
fitness ambassadors who will host fitness events and activities for
Mavs fans throughout the year. With the app, fans will be able to
earn free tickets and merchandise by completing specific Mavericks
fitness challenges.
German Research Finds 1 in 3
Interested in Cryptocurrency Investment
The study was conducted by a German
bank Postbank. They interviewed a total of 3,100 people between
February and March this year for its Postbank Digital Study 2018.
It looked at emerging trends of fintech and blockchain regarding
German life. It found that despite a tough Q1 for cryptocurrencies,
popularity doesn’t appear to have changed. The study revealed that
a total of 29 percent of Germans see them as an interesting
investment. Among younger generations (18 to 34), it was especially
evident with 46 percent interested. Compared to the average
population young people have twice as many cryptocurrencies. In the
next 12 months, another 14 percent of 18 to 34 year olds want more
diversity. 20% total population deemed that they have a sound level
of knowledge on the topic - the number was notably higher for 18 to
34 year olds at 29%
Busiest Airport in Australia
Now Accepts Cryptocurrency
For the first time, goods and
services may be purchased in an airport with cryptocurrency.
Brisbane’s International Airport partnered with TravelbyBit to make
the overhaul. Travelers may use Bitcoin, Dash, and Ethereum. “This
is just the beginning for us as we hope to expand the digital
currency option across the business, so watch this space,” said
Roel Hellemons, Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) General Manager
Strategic Planning and Development. TravelbyBit is doing more work
around Australia and is building a real value for crypto with the
general population using their network of merchants such as luxury
hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues.
