Notification of directorate changes

On 25 October 2001 Finn Berg-Jacobsen and Larry Simpson were appointed as 
directors of Kvaerner PLC. Kjell Almskog resigned from his office as a director 
on the same day.

Kvaerner PLC is a subsidiary of Kvaerner ASA. Finn Berg-Jacobsen is acting Chief
Financial Officer of Kvaerner. Larry Simpson is Senior Vice President - Human 
Resources.
