Kvaerner's first quarter results to be published earlier, on 24 April 

LONDON, 20 APRIL 2001: Kvaerner, the Anglo-Norwegian engineering and
construction Group, today announced that its results for the first quarter
2001 will now be published before trading commences on Tuesday 24 April 2001,
instead of Friday 4 May as previously announced.

Kvaerner has now invited shareholders, analysts, media and other interested
parties to an information meeting at 10am on Tuesday April 24 in the Felix
Conference Centre, Aker Brygge, Oslo, Norway, where it will provide a detailed
presentation of the Group's strategy and plans - as a preface to the Annual
General Meeting on 4 May.  

The information meeting will therefore commence with a presentation of the
results for the first quarter.
