                IN CONJUNCTION WITH CONSUMER ANALYST GROUP OF NEW YORK 
                            (CAGNY) CONFERENCE

NEW YORK, February 21,2002, Colgate-Palmolive Chairman and CEO Reuben Mark will

Palmolive today reconfirmed external estimates for first quarter and year 2002
