Peabody Group announces that David Hardy will take on the role of Interim Chair of Peabody Trust with effect from 8 August 2023 until a permanent Chair is appointed. David joined the Peabody Board in June 2016 and is currently the Chair of the Peabody Finance & Treasury Committee.

A qualified chartered accountant, David has over 35 years' experience in corporate finance and fundraising across social, economic and environmental infrastructure. David is committed to steering the Board to deliver Peabody's social purpose and the priorities agreed by the Board under Lord Kerslake's leadership. These include investing more in existing homes, providing excellent services to residents and customers and delivering new, high quality, sustainable, affordable homes.

David was also appointed to the Boards of Peabody Capital PLC and Peabody Capital No.2 PLC with effect from 1 August 2023.

Ravi Rajagopal will resume his role as Vice-Chair from 8 August 2023.

Following the sad death of Lord Kerslake last month, the recruitment process to appoint a long-term successor is progressing. Further announcements will be made in due course.
