announcement released on 11 April 2000 at 13.37 under RNS No 8581I.

The 'estimated net asset value per ordinary share (Undiluted)' should read at
the close of business on '7 April 2000' and not '31 March 2000' as previously
shown.

            STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED NET ASSET VALUE

The Metage Special Emerging Markets Fund Limited announces that the estimated
net asset value per ordinary share (Undiluted) at the close of business on 7
April 2000 was US$23.53

The Fully Diluted estimated net asset value was US$22.00

The next NAV produced will be for close of business on 14 April, 2000.
