                 Appointment of interim group finance director


Acertec is pleased to announce the appointment of Rod Holdsworth as interim
group finance director. He will take on the finance director responsibilities on
1 December 2007. Rod has had wide experience at board level in the engineering
and construction sectors, most recently as finance director of Morrison plc
where he assisted in its successful turnaround. Previously he has held senior
positions with Alfred McAlpine plc and with Smiths Group plc.

The Board of Acertec is confident that Rod will make a major contribution to the
Group during the coming months.
