Actual Experience PLC said on Tuesday that it has secured a two-year contract with an undisclosed U.K. central government department for its newly-launched digital workplace-management platform.

The U.K. analytics-as-a-service company said the contract--which was awarded in conjunction with its partner Vodafone UK--represented a software-as-a-service revenue stream of around 230,000 pounds ($282,371) a year.

The company said the department indicated it will shortly be able to give actual permission to provide further details on the project.

"Our focus remains on expanding our prospect pipeline and, as noted in our recently issued Annual Report, we expect to be able to announce further sales orders in the coming months," the company said.

Shares at 0800 GMT were up 0.10 pence, or 9.3%, at 1.18 pence.
