Alternative Investment Strategies Limited (the "Company")

Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 26 September 2013 it purchased 150,000 Sterling Hedged Shares of no par value ("Shares") at a price per share of 133.47p for immediate cancellation on 01 October 2013.

Following the above purchase and cancellation, the total number of Shares in issue will be 37,509,966. No shares are held in Treasury.

All shareholders have equal voting rights based on the number of shares held. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is now 37,509,966 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
