Drilling Update

Anglesey Mining plc is pleased to report on developments in drilling at both the
Parys Mountain property in Anglesey, Wales and the Labrador Iron Mines
properties in Canada.

Parys Mountain

As previously announced drilling recommenced in the Garth Daniel area in May
2006. Hole AMC19 was collared some 100 metres to the north-west of hole AMC17
and was targeted at the western extension of the Garth Daniel area. The hole is
now at a depth of 500 metres with up to a further 100 metres of drilling
expected before the Engine zone and the basement shales are encountered. A
number of mineralised intersections in the Carreg-y-doll and North Central zones
have been made and these have been sent for assay. Results are expected within
the next ten days.

The next hole in the Garth Daniel area, AMC20, will be collared some 125 metres
to the east of AMC15 to test the eastern extension of the area and this will be
drilled once AMC19 is complete. Following the completion of these holes, the
strike length drilled in the Garth Daniel area will extend to over 500 metres.

The White Rock zone is situated close to the Morris Shaft, 700 metres from the
Garth Daniel area, and is part of the current published resource. Part of this
zone has been identified previously as lying close to surface and amenable to
early underground mining through the planned decline system. A second rig has
been brought to site to carry out close spaced drilling in the White Rock zone.
The results from this programme will be used to enhance the resource estimate
and to assist in mine planning. A total of approximately 600 metres is planned
in six holes in an initial programme. The first hole, WD1 is now at 60 metres
and mineralisation has been encountered. Each hole will be logged and assayed on
completion.

Labrador

A major drilling programme will commence on the Labrador Iron Mines properties
in Canada at the beginning of July. Initial drilling will be on the deposits in
the immediate area of the town of Schefferville (James, Knob, Houston and
Redmond) with the objective of validating the earlier drilling undertaken by the
Iron Ore Company of Canada. The drill will then move with helicopter support to
the Astray deposit located some 80 kilometres south-east of Schefferville. It is
hoped that this extensive programme at Astray will add significantly to the
current level of resource at that location.

This programme to be carried out throughout the month of July is expected to
total approximately 1,500 metres in 18 holes of core drilling at all locations.
Results will be assayed for iron and other elements, and in addition drill core
will be used for metallurgical testing and process plant design.
