ASX announcement by Mount Gibson Iron Limited

The Company notes an announcement was made on ASX today by Mount Gibson Iron
Limited ("Mt Gibson") in relation to the extension of the offer period for its
off-market takeover bid for all the fully paid ordinary shares in Aztec.

Mt Gibson advises that it has extended the closing date of offers made under the
takeover bid to 5.00pm (Perth, Western Australia time) on 24 November 2006.
