The "TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES" announcement released on 8 January 2024 under RNS number 0030Z incorrectly stated "Since 28 July 2022, BAE Systems plc has purchased...". Instead it should have read "In relation to the Third Tranche, since 1 June 2023, BAE Systems plc has purchased...". The figures in relation to numbers of shares purchased, and costs of those purchases, were correct in relation to the Third Tranche.

It should be noted that all "TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES" RNS announcements released between 30 August 2023 and 8 January 2024 (inclusive) included this error, incorrectly stating "Since 28 July 2022, BAE Systems plc has purchased..." when it should have read "In relation to the Third Tranche, since 1 June 2023, BAE Systems plc has purchased...".

TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES - CORRECTION

BAE Systems plc (the " Company ") announces that, in accordance with the terms of its share repurchase programme announced on 28 July 2022 (the " Buyback Programme ") and following the announcement on 1 June 2023 in relation to the initiation of the third tranche of the Buyback Programme (the " Third Tranche "), the Company purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 2.5p each from Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc.
