Cancellation of US Dollar Shares in Treasury

The Company announces that it has today cancelled 4,310,945 US Dollar shares which it held in treasury.

Accordingly, the total number of Sterling Shares in issue is 426,676,978 (excluding treasury shares), the total number of Euro Shares in issue is 8,772,100 (no treasury shares) and the total number of US$ Shares in issue is 38,596,612 (no treasury shares).

The Company holds 47,410,990 Sterling Shares in treasury.
