Board appointment


The Board of Biofuels is pleased to announce that Dr. Alan Keasey, who has been
with the Company on an interim basis since February 2006, is to join the Board
with effect from today as Technical Director.  In this role he will have
responsibility for plant operations, technology development and the planning and
implementation of future plants.

Dr Keasey, a chemist by training and with extensive experience in building,
commissioning and operating chemical plants, has previously spent 27 years with
British Petroleum plc in a variety of roles, most recently in Trinidad firstly
as Chief Operating Officer of Titan Methanol and thereafter overseeing the
construction and commissioning of Atlas Methanol.

Mike Buzzacott, Chairman, commented:

"I am delighted that Alan is joining the Board.  In his interim role, he clearly
demonstrated the expertise and experience to lead our high quality operations
team.  He will be a valuable addition to the Board.
