                           Resignation of a Director



Gareth Jones, who was appointed as Executive Director in 2003, has announced his
resignation from the Board of Conister Trust PLC with effect from today, 4 April
2006. Mr. Jones will remain with the company for a short while to complete a
handover, and will then be returning to work in the UK.


Mr Jones commented "Now that we have appointed Jerry Linehan as the new Chief
Executive, it is a good opportunity for me to resign as a director of Conister
Trust and to return to the UK. I wish Jerry Linehan well in his efforts to
exploit the opportunities he is working on".
