                    Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

Cytomyx Holdings plc (AIM: CYX), a leading provider of drug discovery products
and services, announces that it has today sent notice to shareholders of an
extraordinary general meeting at which resolutions will be proposed to increase
the Company's authorised share capital and to renew its ability to issue new
ordinary shares without seeking shareholder approval or having to offer them
pre-emptively.

The extraordinary general meeting will be held at the offices of the Company, 6/
7 Technopark, Newmarket Road, Cambridge CB5 8PB, at 11.00am on 25 April 2005.
