Dimension Resources Limited ("Dimension") announces that it has signed an
exclusive contract with Antolini Luigi & Cie SpA, one of the leading Italian
stone companies, for the supply of "Cape Rainbow" granite blocks from its
quarry in the Zwartmodder area of Northern Cape Province, South Africa. This
contract, which is for an initial period of five years, will enable Dimension
to commence commercial production at the new quarry, subject only to financing
arrangements. The interim report published recently disclosed that
negotiations, which have now been successfully completed, were in progress.



The interim report also referred to the fact that C J Petrow had asked
Dimension to agree a temporary reduction in the quantities of "Cape Autumn"
granite they were purchasing. This has the effect of allowing Dimension to
offer the stone to other purchasers, and in this context a trial order for
approximately 30 cu.m. has been agreed with Marlin Corporation, the leading
South African granite company. The stone is being despatched to Italy for
market evaluation. Marlin has also purchased a further quantity of "Cape
Autumn" granite, through C J Petrow, for evaluation in the South African
market.



The proposal to obtain the rights to a black marble deposit near the Vredendal
processing plant has also progressed since the interim report. This
acquisition has now been agreed with the owner of the mineral rights, although
there will inevitably be a substantial delay before a mining licence is
obtained. Black marble is readily saleable without the lead time associated
with the introduction of new coloured stones.



Commenting on these developments, Steve Taylor, the Group managing director,
said "I am extremely pleased to be dealing with firms of the stature of
Antolini, which has already contracted to purchase our Bowenite stone, and
Marlin. In the past contracts with smaller companies have proved
unsatisfactory, and dealing with market leaders should ensure that this does
not happen again. I am particularly gratified that Marlin share our view of
the Cape Autumn granite, where the quality of the blocks we have produced is
excellent"
