Final Net Asset Value and Tender Offer

Final Net Asset Value

As at the close of business on 31st December 2008 the final Net Asset Value per
share was US$ 0.9213.

The previous month end value was US$ 0.9324.

This valuation which has been prepared in good faith by the Company's
Administrator and is based principally on formal valuations supplied to the
Company by the administrators of the Company's underlying investments.

Tender Offer

Following the announcement of a tender offer by the Company pursuant to a
Tender Offer Circular dated 22 December 2008 (the "Tender Offer"), the board of
the Company today has determined that the price at which participating
preference shares in the Company ("Shares") will be re-purchased (the "Tender
Price") will be US$0.9197 per Share and that the maximum aggregate number of
Shares (rounded down to the nearest whole number) to be bought back pursuant to
the Tender Offer is 25,008,154 shares (the "Maximum Number").

The full terms of the tender offer are set out in the Tender Offer Circular
dated 22 December 2008. The Tender Price of US$0.9197 per Share reflects the
fact that if the proposals referred to in the Tender Offer are approved in
general meeting, the Net Asset Value per Share will be less than the current
Net Asset Value per Share because the period of amortisation of certain
expenses will be shortened.
