EUROPEAN BUSINESS JETS PLC ("the Company")
European Business Jets Plc announces that the resolutions proposed at the EGM
held on 22 August relating to the adoption of the accounts for the period ended
31 March 2006 were duly passed.
In answer to a question from a shareholder at the meeting, the Chairman, Brian
Moritz, said that the Company has recently been granted its Air Operator's
Certificate ("AOC") by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, and has been very busy
dealing with a record number of enquiries following the recent events in UK
aviation.
The grant of the AOC is a key step for the Company and will allow it to
independently operate its own growing fleet of customer aircraft as well as
fleet aircraft belonging to third parties. The ability to independently operate
aircraft was a crucial factor in the Company's business model as it delivers on
its customer commitment of guaranteeing exclusive private jet usage 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year anywhere in Europe and within as little as 12 hours notice.
Graeme Deary, CEO, commented:
'Achieving the standard required for the AOC is no mean feat and is often a very
lengthy process for many operators. We are very proud to have accomplished it in
such a short time frame and are delighted with the added credibility it brings
to our operation.'
