    St. Peter Port, Guernsey - 5 June 2008 - In accordance with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules,
European Capital Limited (the 'Company') notifies the market of the following:

    As at the date of this announcement, the Company's issued share capital, including shares held in treasury, consists of 108,364,254
ordinary shares of no par value (the 'Ordinary Shares') with each share carrying the right to one vote. The Company holds 1,201,438 Ordinary
Shares in treasury and therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 107,162,816.

    The above figure of 107,162,816 may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will
determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the
Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
