                                 SHARE PURCHASE 
 
 
 
Education Development International plc ('the Company') the leading provider of 
educational qualifications and assessment services, purchased 100,000 shares in 
the Company on 22 March 2010, at a price of 130p per share. These shares will be 
held as Treasury shares. 
 
Following this purchase the Company holds 253,500 shares in Treasury and 
excluding these shares now has a total of 57,356,147 shares in issue. 
 
The figure of 57,356,147 should be used by shareholders as the denominator for 
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify 
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the 
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
