                                 SHARE PURCHASE 
 
 
Education Development International plc ('the Company'), the leading provider of 
educational qualifications and assessment services, has today purchased 368,500 
shares in the Company at a price of 136p per share. These shares will be held as 
Treasury shares. 
 
Following this purchase the Company holds 750,000 shares in Treasury and 
excluding these shares now has a total of 56,859,647 shares in issue. 
 
The figure of 56,859,647 should be used by shareholders as the denominator for 
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify 
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the 
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
