 Proposed cancellation of admission of the Company's ordinary shares to trading

Akron, OH, September 2, 2010 - First Communications, Inc. (AIM: FCOM) (the 
"Company") today announces that, further to the statement made in its interim 
results, it is proposing to cancel the admission of its ordinary shares to 
trading on AIM with an intended cancellation date of September 30, 2010, subject 
to shareholder approval.  Accordingly, the Company will in the near future be 
posting a circular convening an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders 
and Depositary Interest Holders.
