    Result of EGM

    Finance Ireland PLC ("Finance Ireland" or "the Company") announces that at the General Meeting of the Company held earlier today the
resolutions proposed to cancel the admission and trading of the Company's Ordinary Shares ("Shares") on AIM and IEX had been passed. 

    Consequently, cancellation of the Company's Shares to trading on AIM and IEX will take effect from 8.00am on Tuesday 1 July 2008 and
will be effected by a dealing notice being issued at 7.00am on that day. Finance Ireland will be re-registered as a private company
following the cancellation of trading of Finance Ireland's Shares on AIM and IEX. 

    Shareholders should note that the cancellation is likely to reduce significantly the liquidity and marketability of Finance Ireland
Shares.  Once the cancellation has taken effect Finance Ireland shareholders will no longer be able to effect transactions in Finance
Ireland Shares 'on market' at the 'market price'. Following the cancellation, therefore, Finance Ireland shareholders will have to effect
any further transactions in Finance Ireland Shares 'off market' at a price to be agreed between the relevant parties. The Company will
attempt to match buyers and sellers for the Shares.
