    CANCELLATION OF SHARES HELD IN TREASURY

    F&C UK Select Trust plc announces that it has cancelled 2,340,000 shares held in treasury.

    The Company's issued ordinary share capital is now 56,074,961 of which 3,000,000 are held in Treasury.

    Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in F&C UK Select Trust plc is 53,074,961.

    The above figure (53,074,961) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they
are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, F&C UK Select Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and
