    DEATH OF STEPHEN DEAN

    The board of Griffin Group plc (the "Company") announces with great sadness and regret that it must record the death of Stephen Dean,
Chairman of the Company, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

    As Chairman of the Company, Stephen played a very active role in the Company. His counsel, wealth of experience, good humour and
cheerfulness even in the face of adversity will be a great loss not only to his close board colleagues but to his family, his many friends
and his contacts worldwide.

    We shall miss him greatly and extend our sympathy and best wishes to his family at this very sad and difficult time.
