                 HUNTINGDON ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING POSTPONED

Huntingdon, England, June 7, 2001 -- Huntingdon Life Sciences Group plc
announced today that its Annual General Meeting, which had been scheduled for
14 June 2001, will be postponed due to scheduling conflicts.  The meeting is
therefore adjourned and the new meeting date and location will be announced at
least 21 days prior to the date of the new meeting.
