With effect from the close of a meeting of the board of directors (the "Board") 
of Imperial Energy Corporation plc (the "Company") held at 10.30am GMT on 22 
January 2009, the following changes have been made to the Board: 
  *  Mr Kenneth Forrest, Mr Robert Shepherd and Mr Pierre Godec have resigned from 
  their positions as non-executive directors of the Company; 
  *  Mr R S Butola, Mr Anupam, Mr J Thomas and Mr S P Garg have been appointed as 
  additional directors of the Company; and 
  *  Mr Peter Levine has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Company and Mr 
  R S Butola has been appointed as Chairman. Mr Peter Levine remains a member of 
  the Board.
