International Greetings Plc (the"Company")

                          Issue of New Ordinary Shares

The Company announces that it has applied for 90,000 new ordinary shares to be
admitted to trading on AIM.  These shares were issued following the exercise of
options pursuant to the Company's Employee Share Option Scheme.

Dealings are expected to commence in the new ordinary shares at 8.00 a.m. on 
31 July 2000.
