International Greetings PLC (the "Company")

Issue of New Ordinary Shares

Further to the Company's preliminary results announced on 15 July 1999, the
Company announces that it has applied for 27,088,394 new ordinary shares to be
admitted to trading on AIM.  These shares are to be issued pursuant to the
Company's two for one bonus issue.

Subject to shareholder approval being obtained at the Annual General Meeting
of the Company on 3 September 1999, dealings are expected to commence in the
new ordinary shares at 9.00 a.m. on 6 September 1999.
