                   INCO LIMITED ANNOUNCES INTENTION TO DELIST
                         FROM THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE

Toronto, December 1, 2004 -- Inco Limited ("Inco") announced today that it has
notified the UK Listing Authority of its intention to cancel its listing on the
Official List maintained by the UK Listing Authority and that it has also
notified the London Stock Exchange plc of its intention to cancel its admission
to trading on the LSE of its common shares.  These actions will be effective at
8 a.m. (London time) on December 31, 2004, such date being no less than twenty
business days from the date of this announcement.
