Strong Nickel Results, Togo
Highlights
* Kpot?itting continues to demonstrate strong nickel values
* Intersections include 12m @ 1.39% Ni and 11m @ 1.17%
Lithic Metals and Energy (AIM:LMY) today announce further analytical results from test pitting at its Kpot?nd Haito nickel prospects,
Togo.
At the Kpot?rospect, results from pitting confirm the presence and continuity of nickel mineralisation encountered in earlier nearby
pitting. Consistent to earlier results, thicker, higher grade nickel intersections also tend to be open at depth, with test pitting limited
to approximately 12m depth due to safety constraints.
At the nearby Mount Haito prospect, broadly-spaced test pitting continues to encounter shallow nickel mineralisation over a 2 kilometre
strike length. Weathering of ultramafic lithology, the essential process required to enhance nickel values, appears to be less pronounced
at Mount Haito than that observed at Kpot?possibly explaining the typically lower nickel values encountered in pitting.
A table of significant pit intersections is presented below.
Commenting on these results, Lithic Managing Director Jim Kerr said "Kpot?ontinues to reveal consistently high nickel values over the
portion of ultramafic lithology we can effectively sample by test pitting. At Mt Haito, elevated nickel values are present over a broad
area, but the degree and thickness of nickel enrichment appears to be less pronounced than that observed at Kpot?nd may well reflect the
less weathered nature of lithology there.
We have now clearly demonstrated the presence of significant nickel mineralisation within the Haito project, with much of the
prospective ground yet to be sampled."
