Northamber PLC said Friday that its pretax profit significantly decreased but its revenue rose during fiscal 2021, and that it increased the dividend payout.

The distributor of information-technology equipment made a pretax profit of 385,000 pounds ($519,673) for the year ended June 30 compared with GBP9.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Revenue rose to GBP60 million from GBP52.8 million a year earlier.

"Whilst there are a number of factors such as Brexit, the continued impact of shipping and product constraints, together with the future uncertainty of Covid and any further lockdowns, we remain cautiously optimistic that the investments we have made in our team and in supporting our partners will allow us to continue our growth over the coming years," the company said.

Northamber declared a final dividend of 0.4 pence a share. This compares with a total dividend of 0.3 pence a share the prior year.

Shares at 0832 GMT were up 2 pence, or 3.5%, at 59.50 pence.
