              Northgate Information Solutions Plc (the "Company")

                            Re: Directorate Changes

Northgate Information Solutions Plc, the international supplier of specialist
software systems and IT services for the human resources and public sector
markets, announces that its Non-Executive Directors, Jack Fryer, David Hodgson,
Sir Stephen Lander, Andrew Robb, Nick Starritt and the Non-Executive Chairman,
Ron Mackintosh, have resigned with immediate effect.

The Directors' resignations have been timed to coincide with the effective date
of the Company's acquisition by NIS Acquisitions Limited, a company controlled
by funds advised by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co L.P., by means of a Scheme of
Arrangement under section 425 of the Companies Act 1985.
