Following the completion of the acquisition of New Star Asset Management Group 
PLC, the ultimate parent company of the Company's Manager, by Henderson Group 
plc ("Henderson Group") on 9 April 2009, New Star Private Equity Investment 
Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Ian Barrass, the Head of 
Fund of Funds at Henderson Private Equity, has been appointed the Company's 
co-portfolio manager with immediate effect in place of Nick Brind. 
 
Ian Barrass will manage the Company in conjunction with Paul Craig until the 
announcement of the Company's annual results for the year ended 30 December 
2008, which will be released on or before 30 April 2009, following which Paul 
Craig will step down as the Company's co-fund manager and Ian Barrass will be 
sole Portfolio Manager.
