                           Transaction In Own Shares




IBS OPENSystems plc ("IBS") announces that on 27 March 2008 it purchased for
cancellation 100,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at a price of 115.0p
per share.


Following this share purchase, IBS has a total of 38,200,000 ordinary shares
(excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue and holds 1,200,000 of its ordinary
shares in Treasury.



The number of ordinary shares purchased represented 0.3% of the voting rights
attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchases.
