                                PREMIUM TRUST plc
                             First interim dividend
                                        
The directors have announced today that Premium Trust plc will pay a first
interim dividend, in respect of the year to 31 August 2006, of 1.25p to income
shareholders, unchanged on the comparable payment last year.  The dividend will
be paid on 27 January 2006 to shareholders on the register on 6 January 2006.
