The Range Cooker Company PLC ("Range" or the "Company")

Cancellation of special interim dividend

It was announced on 30 October 2002 that, in order to facilitate offer
discussions, the board of Range had decided to defer payment of the special
interim dividend of 1p per share that would otherwise have been paid to
shareholders on 30 October 2002 (the "Special Interim Dividend").

Earlier today, the boards of Range and Britannia Living Limited announced that
agreement has been reached on the terms of a recommended cash offer (the "
Offer), to be made by Altium Capital Limited on behalf of Britannia Living
Limited, to acquire the whole of the issued share capital of Range.  The Offer
is conditional, inter alia, on the cancellation of the Special Interim Dividend.

Accordingly, the board of Range has decided to cancel the Special Interim
Dividend.
