                   NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES 
 
The Directors of Syndicate Asset Management Plc (AIM: SAM), the fund management 
group, have been notified on 1 October 2010 that Cygnet Capital LLC ("Cygnet") 
acquired an additional 20,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 30 
September 2010. This brings the total holding of Cygnet to 132,258,924 ordinary 
shares in the Company, representing approximately 7.3% of the issued ordinary 
shares.
