                   Directors' and other material interests


Strategic Retail plc ("the Company") announces that, as part of the placing of
4,000,000 new ordinary shares of 0.5p each ("Ordinary Shares") at 10p per share
announced on 13 December 2006, 50,000 new Ordinary Shares have been placed with
David Mond, a director of the Company, who, together with connected parties, is
now interested in 2,105,985 Ordinary Shares representing 10.12% of the enlarged
issued share capital of the Company.

In addition, the Company has been notified that Stephen Lundy is now interested
in 940,000 Ordinary Shares representing 4.52% of the enlarged issued share
capital of the Company.
