TNT HOLDINGS (Deutschland) GmbH ACQUIRES 100 PERCENT OF GMA

TNT Holdings (Deutschland) GmbH, a 100 percent owned subsidiary of TNT Post 
Group NV, Amsterdam, has acquired 100 percent of the shares of GMA Verwaltungs
GmbH and GMA Gesellschaft fur Marketing und Absatzforderung mbH & Co. KG in
Furth, Germany.


GMA provides the distribution of unaddressed mail items and samples as well as 
magazines and direct mail to private households.  The company is predominantly
active in the Eastern part of Germany.  GMA holds a license to distribute direct
mail ("Infopost").

Especially in the area of logistics and transport, GMA can benefit from the 
expertise of TNT Germany.

The annual turnover of GMA is over NLG 20 million.

All regulatory approvals have been obtained.

TNT is a subsidiary of TNT Post Group (TPG).  TPG is a global provider of time
-sensitive mail, express and logistics services.  Since June 1998, TNT Post
Group has been listed on the stock exchanges of Amsterdam,  Frankfurt,
London and New York. TPG has 100,000 employees in more than 200 countries.
