TPG EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT INTENDS TO STEP DOWN

Ad Scheepbouwer, chairman and CEO of TNT Post Group N.V. (TPG), today announced
that Mr. John A. Fellows, (53), Executive Vice President of the company's
Express Business, has expressed his intention to return to his native North
America for personal reasons and to step down from his position as a member of
the TPG Board of Management.  The Board respects his decision and acknowledges
his contribution to the company.

In 1992, Fellows joined GD Express Worldwide, a global express company in which
PTT Post and TNT shared interest.  He was appointed chief executive officer in
1994.  In 1996, PTT Post acquired TNT and became sole shareholder of GD Express
Worldwide, and Fellows subsequently joined the company's Board of Management.

TPG is working to fill the vacant Board of Management position and expects a
decision very soon.


TPG APPOINTS TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

Ad Scheepbouwer, Chairman and CEO of TNT Post Group N.V. (TPG), today announced
that the TPG Supervisory Board has made two new appointments to the TPG Board of
Management. Mr. Alan Jones, 52, has been appointed Executive Vice President
Express and Mr. Roberto Rossi, 55, has been appointed Executive Vice President
Logistics.

"Both these managers have proven track records in their respective fields of
Express and Logistics. In addition to the specialist expertise and management
capabilities they bring to the Board, their international backgrounds broaden
TPG's perspective on the global market," said Scheepbouwer.

Jones will be responsible for all of TPG's Express activities, excluding Asia
and Australia. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Jones most recently
served as Managing Director of TPG's Express and Logistics operations in the
United Kingdom and Ireland. He joined the company in July 1980 and held various
management positions until his 1984 appointment as Managing Director. Under his
leadership, the UK operation has become a leader in numerous sectors of the
express delivery market and was recognised with many quality achievements,
including the 1998 European Quality Award.

Rossi will be responsible for all TPG's Logistics activities, excluding Asia and
Australia. Rossi, who was born and educated in Italy, most recently served as
Managing Director of TPG's South Europe business unit, which includes the
company's operations in Italy and Spain. He joined the company in September 1991
and held various management positions in its domestic express and logistics
activities. In 1994, Rossi initiated development of strategic logistics
activities in Southern Europe and has established TNT as a leader in the
region's logistics market. The company now manages the receipt, warehousing,
packaging and distribution for a number of leading automotive manufacturers in
Italy and throughout the world.

In addition to these new appointees, the TPG Board of Management includes Ad
Scheepbouwer, Chairman and CEO; Peter Bakker, Chief Financial Officer, Bert van
Doorn, Executive Vice President Mail; and Carel Paauwe, Executive Vice President
Strategy and Business Development with an additional focus on and responsibility
for the company's activities in Asia and Australia.

Jones and Rossi will assume their new roles as of 1 July and will hold office in
TPG's head office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. These appointments are subject to
compliance with statutory requirements.
