                              Director Resignation

Urals Energy, a leading independent exploration and production company with
operations in Russia, announces that William R Thomas resigned as a
non-executive Director of the Company on 4 July 2007.    Mr. Thomas has advised
the company that he wishes to concentrate on personal and other business
interests.
