Quarterly Review 
 
 
 
 
UMP Plc (the "Company or "UMP") is pleased to announce a review of its 
activities for the quarter ended  30 June 2009. 
 
 
The Company had scheduled its film releases for the year to commence in the 
period from July to September 2009 to follow the IPL cricket and the Twenty 20 
World Cup. As such, there were no releases during the quarter. As announced on 
11 June 2009, the recent discussions between United Producers and Distributors 
Forum and the national multiplex cinema chains in India have concluded and the 
Company expects to release its first movie of the year in August 2009. 
 
 
OFFER FOR UMP PLC 
 
 
As announced on 20 July 2009, the Independent UMP Directors have reached 
agreement on the terms of a recommend proposal for the acquisition of the 
Company by the board of UTV Software Communications Limited ("UTV"). Full 
details of this proposal are available in the announcement of 20 July 2009 which 
is available on the Company's website  www.utvmotionpictures.com 
 
 
UPCOMING RELEASES 
 
 
Further to the announcement of 17 June 2009, the Company has amended its movie 
release schedule to 14 movies for the year on account of changes in production 
schedules.

There are four movies planned for release in the forthcoming quarter, each one 
in a different genre, and the Directors expect that these movies will perform 
well at the box office. The Company has an unparalleled release slate of 14 
movies to be released during this financial year. 
 
 
Target markets are global as UTV Motion Pictures distributes its products in 32 
different countries. 
 
 
Ronnie Screwala, Chairman of UMP said, "This quarter we focused our attention on 
planning the production, marketing and distribution strategies for our 
forthcoming release slate of 14 movies over the coming three quarters. We are 
confident that our line-up of movies across genres, stars casts and scale, will 
provide audiences in India and around the world with year round entertainment
